Playing Catch Up…

It’s been a little bit since I’ve posted. 😦 Sadly, it’s been a really crazy week! School was out for the week. Whoohoo! But that means it was time to catch up on work, and life. Andrew and I were at least able to make it out one night this week for dinner and drinks.

The same night he took this blasted head shot for my graduation. (only a few weeks away!) I think I just look weird. I’ll blame it on allergies and being dead tired. I was really sick that day.

Yesterday Andrew left for Baltimore/Dover for the Nascar Race this weekend.

Which his photos  are AMAZING. 🙂 Best race he’s had! And he got extra photos of Carl Edwards 🙂

You can tell that’s my favorite. 🙂

We’ve also been able to workout more this week 🙂 Plus for me, since I’ve lost crazy amounts of weight. I guess it’s moving to mostly an all vegetarian diet. I say mostly, because I still eat meat. I just choose not to a lot of the time.

I’ve been trying to spend as much time as I can at Wildwood Metropark. It’s amazing for running. And, really pretty.

I spent Monday night there, and then moved on to a local high school to watch Andrew kick. He was the place kicker for University of Toledo, and wanted to start practicing again. I got video, but the file type is not allowed on here, so on video 😦

This week has been good for workouts though.

Monday – Ran 5.06 miles

Tuesday-  Sick/Rest

Wednesday –  2.5 mile run (was supposed to be 3, not sure how I finished a 3 mile trail only doing 2.5 miles)

Thursday – 3 miles elliptical

Friday – 4 miles elliptical/treadmill

Saturday – 3 miles elliptical

I also lift 3 days a week. I’ve been nursing a knee injury, so i move back and forth between running and the elliptical. Tomorrow should be at least a 6 mile run. Let’s hope for no rain!

And in other randomness, Andrew rappelled off a 200ft water tower for an assignment at work. He was getting a photo of fire training, and they asked if he wanted to go down the water tower with him.

I told him he looked like a dork. Just because I love him.

I had to save the best for last, because I also have some really great news :):) I have an interview this week for a job in my field (Emergency Response Coordinator). It’s about an hour and a half away, which may or may not be good. I’m extremely excited/lucky to be given an opportunity to go to an interview for the exact job I want before I’ve even graduated. We’ll see what happens when I go this week! There will be a lot of factors involved in this, so we’ll see how it all plays out!

And a random photo!

I’m obsessed with that white sweater. Thank you NY & Co. 🙂

Buffy at 7 weeks.

It’s time for a new photo of the puppy!! 🙂 She’s seven weeks old now.  She is “really playful and curious”. Cannot wait to pick her up!! :):)

Isn’t she adorable?! I swear she’s like a little polar bear!

Counting down until May 20th!!

Happy Easter in Nashville.

We woke up Sunday morning to rain, rain, and a lot more rain! It was doing some nasty things outside. Tornado sirens even went off in the area. It wasn’t raining in Downtown Nashville, so Andrew went off to shoot a Baseball Game.

Photos here.

We we’re picking up Brett Young from the airport. Follow him on Twitter (@MrBrettYoung), Now that I mention it. Follow Tiffini & Cory too! (@tiffiniholland && @coryholland)

His flight was unfortunately delayed, so we had a little more time to relax and procrastinate before heading to the airport.

When we got there, though, all bets were off ! It was time to immediately get acquainted and go Downtown! While Downtown we went to one of the higher bridges for photos. Gorgeous Views !

It was breathtaking!

After looking at the city from above, it was time to check out the city on the streets!

When the group is together, you can’t cut out pony races.

We walked around and shopped before getting dinner at Hard Rock Cafe.

We also got some group photos!

=) the night couldn’t be complete without some sights, and a hockey game. We watched the Nashville Predators  win the series, while standing outside.

We spent a few more hours at Tiffini & Cory’s house before a looonngg 8 hour drive home. It was brutal! But I must thank Tiffini & Cory for a great weekend! 🙂

Spooky Ghosts Around Town.

Saturday morning started out great! (4/23)

Andrew & I met Tiffini and Cory for lunch at O’Charley’s. We don’t have one at home, so we’ve never eaten there before. Boy was it good!

After lunch we went shopping in River Gate mall! One stop in New York and Company held me for at least an hour. With their sales and deals, I spent $62, but saved $130. I walked away with quite a few things!

I ended up with these shorts

A coral button up dress shirt, sunglasses, a pair of tan shorts, a coral necklace, and a turquoise bracelet.

The joys of shopping!

Unfortunately, Andrew couldn’t find any stores in the mall that he liked. So we stopped at Starbucks to get him a coffee and back to Tiffini & Cory’s house.

Andrew managed to get about an hour nap in while I got ready for the night we had before us. After everyone got home, got ready, we headed out, back Downtown to Nashville!

It was time for our Ghost Tour. We had booked the tour earlier in the day through Nashville Ghost Tours. We were to meet at 8pm in front of the Hermitage Hotel. Which is gorgeous and creepy at the same time. Our storied began there about a crying baby on the 9th floor, the women in white, and the woman in green. It was eerie!

From then, we moved on to the Rachel Jackson memorial and the Capital Building. It was gorgeous!!! We walked around and saw the grave site of James K. Polk, a former president that died of Cholera. (I’m doing a presentation about Cholera tomorrow.) We then walked around and heard stories about the Seven Sorrows Church, the first Catholic Church in Tennessee. In this particular story, they found a body of a priest buried in the walls, perfectly preserved.

We walked along the streets, and saw the first shopping mall in Nashville, boarded up, but you could see the inside. One of the weirder stories brought us down an alley that is set to look like New Orleans. It did not disappoint ! We checked out the outside of the Rainbow Room, where there was a murder in the 70’s. (Theres still blood on the inside of the room).

Our last stop was the Ryman, where we found out there was a murder on the steps we were standing. We got some more chilling stories and we’re left with a beautiful song our guide recited.

Now I could go through ALL the stories, because I thought they were so interesting, and creepy! But I don’t want to spoil the mystery! So go check out Andrew’s Website  and check out our photos from the Ghost Tour! His are MUCH better than mine. 🙂

I’ll be back to recap our last day in Nashville. Eating at Hard Rock, shopping, pony race photos, and beautiful sites!

Road Trip to Nashville

Cheeseburger in Paradise

Birthday Boy.

Today is Epic. Today is just plain sweet. It’s also pretty darn rainy and cold. But what’s best about today is, it’s Andrew’s Birthday. 🙂 He’s 22 today. Hard to believe that someone that professional, that dedicated, and that grown up is 22! It’s what makes him  unique. And he’s pretty sweet too. 🙂

Like getting me this necklace, for no reason! He just knew I was on a mission to find a necklace with an anchor and tada!

Yeah, he’s sweet. And all the flowers. 🙂

There’s been more than just those

Well, today I’m giving back. Because he’s amazing! I made him Birthday Cake Pancakes and brought them to him in bed. 🙂

Even had to wake him up to eat. But he’ll get more later! I’m taking him to dinner and out for drinks with friends 🙂

I also got him a ton of gifts, that he’s just dying to open. 🙂 He’s waiting until I get home, though!

So everyone go to his Facebook , his Twitter, or his Website and wish him a Happy Birthday!! : )

Now you can tell me how lucky I am that he walked into my life?! :):)

Puppy Update!! :)

It’s just a few short weeks away, 2 1/2 to be exact, We’ll be picking up Buffy Marie! 🙂

The breeder said she is growing very well!!

I think my mom has purchased everything you could think of to get a dog. Bowls, Bed, Collar, Harness, Leash, Toys, Chew Toys, clothes.

Even a book to learn to train her. The only thing that’s missing is the puppy!!

Here’s a photo of what she looked like a week and a half ago at 5 weeks :):)

Cheeseburger in Paradise.

I left off with our exciting 8 hour road trip!

We finally got into Nashville at 8pm and went to Tiffini & Cory’s gorgeous house! After a quick look around and a hello to their happy doggies, it was off to Downtown for dinner!

Downtown is about a 30 min drive from Tiffini & Cory’s house, so the first thing we looked for, besides a place to park. Was a place for dinner. Everywhere at that hour (930), was pretty busy with people drinking, singing, and enjoying the atmosphere. We wondered across Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville & decided to check it out.

It definitely is overhyped. Drinks are their specialty and they were good, but the food was not amazing.

I however, had a crab cake sandwich that was delish. 🙂

After we walked around the city and enjoyed the music and well, watching people stumble around drunk at 1130 at night!

We did a little shopping and checked out some pretty crazy stores!

We couldn’t end the night without group photos! 🙂
